Tenerife has slowly become one of those places that always feels familiar when I return, which is exactly why these Tenerife travel guides became such a big part of my travel content.
For me, Tenerife is all about sunshine, volcanic landscapes, ocean views, beach days, and that relaxed island lifestyle that immediately slows everything down.
A friend of my mom owns a small house in Adeje, which meant I was lucky enough to visit the island many times over the years. Because of that, I got to experience Tenerife beyond the usual tourist perspective, discovering quieter beaches, local restaurants, scenic viewpoints, and hidden corners that I probably would have never found during just one short holiday.
Every trip to Tenerife feels slightly different.
Some visits were more adventurous, filled with hikes and road trips through the volcanic landscapes, while others were slower and focused on relaxing, beach days, sunsets, and simply enjoying island life.
That combination is exactly what makes Tenerife so special to me.
Why these Tenerife travel guides exist
These Tenerife travel guides combine personal experiences, local tips, itineraries, scenic viewpoints, beaches, food spots, and practical travel advice from multiple visits to the island.
Instead of only focusing on tourist attractions, I wanted these guides to feel realistic and personal, based on the places and experiences I genuinely enjoyed myself.
You’ll find guides for:
- Tenerife itineraries
- local travel tips
- beaches and viewpoints
- hikes and activities
- food and hidden spots
What makes Tenerife special
What I love most about Tenerife is how diverse the island feels.
You can go from volcanic mountain landscapes to tropical beaches in the same day. Some areas feel lively and social, while others feel calm and almost untouched.
At the same time, Tenerife still keeps that relaxed Canary Islands atmosphere everywhere:
- slow sunsets
- outdoor living
- warm evenings
- ocean views
- and the feeling that there is never any rush
That’s exactly why I keep coming back.
Final note
Tenerife became much more than just a sunny holiday destination for me.
It became a place connected to freedom, slowing down, reconnecting with nature, and some of my favourite relaxed travel memories.
No matter how many new destinations I visit, Tenerife always feels like somewhere I naturally return to.
