What Europe Means to Me

One of the things I love most about Europe is how easy it is to explore. You can live in one country, work in another, and cross several borders in a single day. A long weekend can mean discovering a completely new city. A week of holiday can take you to a completely different landscape, culture, or language.

Growing up in Belgium, I’ve always had Europe right on my doorstep. A weekend in the mountains can be just as exciting as a city break somewhere new. Travelling doesn’t always require a long-haul flight or months of planning. Sometimes, all you need is a few days and a cheap train or flight.

That’s what I love about travelling around Europe. You can go from the Alps to the Mediterranean in just a few hours. You can explore historic cities one weekend and tiny mountain villages the next. Every country feels different, yet everything is close enough to keep discovering somewhere new.

For me, Europe is perfect for spontaneous trips, long weekends, road trips, and week-long adventures. There is always another country to explore. Another city to get lost in. Another mountain to hike. And, of course, another local dish to try.

That’s exactly what you’ll find in my Europe travel guides. The places I’ve visited, the things I loved, and the things I wouldn’t necessarily do again. I’ll also share the practical tips I’ve picked up along the way, so you can make the most of your own trip.
