For me, travelling has never been just about the places I visit. I’ve always loved putting my experiences into words, whether that means writing down what happened in a journal, reflecting on a place I’ve just left, or turning a feeling into a poem.
Writing is also one of the ways I make sense of my life. I’ve kept journals for years, and whenever life feels a little chaotic, putting my thoughts on paper somehow helps me make sense of them again.
Here you’ll find my travel diaries and travel poems, two very different ways of capturing the places I’ve been, the people I’ve met, the things I’ve felt and everything that happens in between.

Why I Write
I think writing is my way of keeping track of life.
I want to remember not only where I went, but also who I was when I was there.
Because places change, people change and I change too. Keeping a journal and writing poems gives me a way to hold onto those little moments — even long after the trip is over.
So this is the more personal side of LifeAssaar: the stories, thoughts and feelings behind the travels.
