Spain has always felt like a second home to me. From a young age, I’ve been traveling here regularly, and over the years I completely fell in love with the mentality, openness, warm weather, and of course, good tapas.
My connection with Spain goes beyond just travel. My mom learned Spanish, and I later followed in her footsteps. To really immerse myself in the language and culture, I spent two weeks living in Málaga, my very first real solo travel experience, and the start of many more to come. I also spent five months in Madrid during my Erasmus exchange, where I combined my studies with an internship as an occupational therapist, experiencing daily life far beyond the tourist perspective.
Barcelona is another city I’ve visited multiple times, and thanks to friends living there, I experience it more like a local than a visitor, with insider tips and familiar faces that make every visit different.
Since then, I’ve continued exploring mainland Spain on my own, from vibrant cities to coastal escapes. Spain, in all its forms, keeps pulling me back. And honestly? I don’t think that will ever change.
